Privacy policy: The First 100
Last updated: 16 October 2026
Applies to: The First 100 (Android)
Published by: Quorum Digital Solutions (Pty) Ltd, South Africa
The short version
The First 100 collects nothing. It transmits nothing. It has no server.
The only information that ever reaches us is feedback you choose to email us yourself — see Feedback.
Everything you write stays in the app's private storage on your own device. We cannot read it, because there is no mechanism by which it could reach us.
What we collect
Nothing.
The app has no account system, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party software development kits that collect data. It makes no network requests to any server operated by us or by anyone else.
What the app stores, and where
All of it stays on your device, in storage private to the app:
- Your name and start date
- Journal entries
- Stakeholder records and your notes about them
- Personnel and talent assessments
- Early wins, risks, resources, and process records
- Weekly checkouts and cycle reviews
- Your settings
No copy of any of this is held anywhere else.
Dictation
The app has no microphone feature and never records audio. To dictate, you use your keyboard's own voice typing (for example Gboard, SwiftKey or Samsung Keyboard). The app receives only the resulting text, exactly as if you had typed it.
Voice typing is provided by your keyboard, under the keyboard provider's own privacy policy. Some keyboards transcribe on your phone; others send audio to their provider. That choice and that processing are between you and your keyboard; we are not involved and receive nothing from it.
Feedback
The app can open your own email app with a short feedback message addressed to support@quorumdigital.co.za. Nothing is sent unless you press Send in your email app, and you can edit or delete anything first. The message includes the app's version number, which you can see before sending.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and to improve the app. We do not share or sell it, and we delete it when it is no longer needed for those purposes. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Permissions, and why
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
INTERNET |
Required by the application framework. The app makes no network requests. |
| Notifications | Local reminders scheduled on your device. No push service is involved. |
Your data is not encrypted
Stated plainly, because it matters and because most applications are vague about it: the data stored by this app is not encrypted on your device.
The Personnel Assessment section can be protected by a PIN or your device biometrics. That controls access to the interface. It does not encrypt the underlying records, and someone with technical access to an unlocked device could read them.
The app says this in-product too, in the section it applies to. Protect your device, and use its lock screen and full-device encryption.
Your control over your data
- Export. You can export everything at any time as a plain JSON file, from Settings. That file is yours. It is unencrypted, so store it somewhere safe.
- Import. You can restore from a previously exported file.
- Delete. Clearing app data, or uninstalling, permanently deletes everything. There is no backup held elsewhere and no way for us to recover it.
We hold no data about you from the app, so there is nothing to request from us about your entries. If you have emailed us feedback, you can ask us to delete it.
Children
The app is intended for working professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Third parties
We do not share data with third parties. The app has no data to share, and we do not share feedback emails.
If you purchased the app through Google Play, your purchase and payment are handled by Google under its privacy policy. We receive only the aggregate sales information Google provides to developers. We never receive your payment details.
Data protection law
Because the app itself neither collects nor processes your personal information, we are not a responsible party in respect of anything you record in it under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), nor a controller or processor under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The exception is feedback you email us. For that, Quorum Digital Solutions (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party, and handles it as described under Feedback.
Please note that if you record information about other people in the app — colleagues in your stakeholder map or personnel assessments, for example — you are the party responsible for that information under applicable law. It resides on your device, under your control, and we have no access to it or ability to act on it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the date above will change. Any change that materially affects how the application handles your information will also be described in the app's release notes.
